First set of photos for Bravely Default. These were taken about a week ago, so I’m much further ahead in progress for the game by now.
The game’s graphic style reminds me a lot of Solatorobo for DS, albeit all the characters are done in 3D and not just a single model. It uses prerendered backgrounds mixed in with 3D, reminiscent of that of the PS1 Final Fantasy days.
Overall, I highly adore the game and must say it gives me a lot of Final Fantasy IX vibes — That’s taking into account FFIX is my favorite game of all time.
Character designs and art are done by Akihiko Yoshida of Final Fantasy Tactics and FFXII fame. Another reason I say the game gives me FFIX vibes is because of the effort put into the four main characters is amazingly well done.
